Arriva Trains Wales provides long and short-distance rail service throughout Wales and parts of Western England. Arriva Trains Wales (ATW) operate over 955 services a day, transporting 65,000 passengers across England and Wales. The train provider connects the metropolitan cities and smaller towns of Wales and West-England together, with the majority of Arriva Wales Trains being used for short distances only. Arriva Trains Wales also provide high-speed trains designated for longer distances on mainline routes, especially commuter routes such as Cardiff to Manchester. - Can I take my bicycle on the train? Bikes are allowed on the majority of Arriva Trains Wales. In order to guarantee a spot on the train for your bike it's best to book a reservation as far in advance as possible.

Aboard the Arriva Trains Wales services there are toilets, but only in the Standard Class carriages. Wifi is available on most of the services. There is only one connection which does not accommodate wheelchair users, and that is between Cardiff Queen Street to Cardiff Bay.
On long distance services there is a trolley service with refreshments and food for the journey. Arriva Trains Wales offers a Business Class on selected trains between Holyhead and Cardiff. This service includes a meal cooked by a chef on board while hot and cold snacks are available for purchase from the buffet for standard class passengers.
